The event was cosponsored by the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment (DUSD-I&E), the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies, and the Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL) of the U.S. Army War College."

The Russian Armed Forces at the Dawn of the Millennium Michael H Crutcher Study by the US Army War College, Center for Strategic Leadership "This anthology is an outgrowth of a conference titled “The Russian Armed Forces at the Dawn of the Millennium,” held at the Collins Center of the Army War College’s Center for Strategic Leadership from 7 through 9 February 2000. The genesis for the conference was the realization by several members of the staff of the Collins Center and Army War College faculty that the U.S.-led NATO operation in Kosovo resulted in a significant shift of Russian views on the United States and NATO. The conference also complemented our general objective of examining the changing environment in which the United States—including its armed forces—finds itself. "

The Role of the Military in Protecting the World's Water Resources Arthur L Bradshaw, Dr Kent H Butts, Mr Brian D Smith Study by the US Army War College, Center for Strategic Leadership " 'The Role of Militaries in Protecting the Environmental Quality of the World’s Bodies of Water' was a workshop hosted and conducted by the Center for Strategic Leadership (CSL) of the U.S. Army War College and sponsored by the Principal Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Environmental Security) on 3-5 November 1999. The workshop was coordinated with UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC). The objective of the workshop was to explore the use of the military as an instrument of engagement in the environmental security context of assessing and protecting the environmental quality of the world’s bodies of water. "
